Great American Utility Company uses the FairShare Program™, an accurate allocation method, to calculate utility bills for residents based on the square footage and occupancy for each unit. Your property manager sends Great American a summary of actual utility bills for the consumption of the community as a whole. Those utility numbers are then divided among the residents using the allocation method and itemized on the billing statement sent out monthly to each resident for collection. You may receive a separate bill from your municipal utility provider for utilities which are individually metered in your apartment.
Your Great American bill is due by the date printed on your statement. Please check the lower right hand corner of your bill for payment instructions. Most residents will submit payment directly to their apartment community. You are obligated to pay your Great American bill each month per your lease agreement. Failure to pay your bill is a direct violation of your lease agreement. If the property collects payment, check your lease for late fee penalties. If Great American collects payment, a late fee will be incurred if the balance is not paid in full or if the payment is received after the grace period has expired.
Great American accepts check, money order, Visa and MasterCard payments only. To pay by credit/debit card please log in to the resident portal or call the Great American office to speak to a representative to place your payment. Please mail a check or money order along with your bill stub to:
